Alus Cottage, Ubud, BaliDuring my recent stay at Alus Cottage, I was pleasantly surprised by the seamless blend of comfort and authenticity. Nestled just a short distance from Ubud's bustling center, this traditional accommodation offers an unpretentious escape into Bali’s serene natural surroundings. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Tina, our gracious hostess, who arranged a timely and affordable driver for our excursions. The rooms, resembling cozy standalone Balinese houses, provided an airy, clean space complemented by beautifully maintained gardens. I particularly appreciated the outdoor bathroom concept, which enhanced the tropical atmosphere. The dining experience was commendable; breakfast was freshly prepared, and I found the local Warung nearby to be a perfect option for dinner, richly showcasing Bali’s culinary treasures. Alus Cottage also offers essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and various assistance with tours and activities. Their attentive staff, especially Kadek, truly elevated our experience, making us feel welcomed. While the accommodation feels luxurious in ambiance, it's crucial to recognize the value it represents. For eco-conscious travelers seeking more than just a hotel stay, Alus Cottage extends an authentic Balinese experience that resonates with the essence of Indonesia's hospitality.
